Infortrend Introduces the First 8G Fibre Channel Storage Soluton TO ITS ESVA™ Product Family

Infortrend®, the networked storage expert, (Public TPE: 2495) today announced that the first two 8G Fibre Channel (FC) storage solutions, the F20 (Fibre-to-SATA solution) and F60 (Fibre-to-SAS solution) have been added into its enterprise-class storage series, the ESVA (Enterprise Scalable Virtualized Architecture) product family.

A major breakthrough in the storage industry, the new 8Gb/s FC storage solutions deliver best-in-class performance, combined with superior data protection and availability for the storage area network (SAN) for mission-critical applications.  

While maximum performance for data-intensive applications is one of the most important functions for daily business operations, avoiding downtime and data loss is essential to maintaining business continuity. The new ESVA F20 and F60 deliver extremely reliable replication and snapshot capability to protect valuable data. Equipped with array-based replication capability, Infortrend ESVA Series does not inflict additional server workload when creating copies within or across storage pool(s), and the disk-based copies can be immediately leveraged by applications as needed. Additionally, ESVA creates space efficient snapshots at short 10 minute intervals, allowing users to create granular recovery points based on which quick file restore and data rollback is being performed.
