Prestigio announced the result of the photo contest “People. Art of Life”
During this year’s contest were received more than 850 works from authors from 33 countries of the world. People from 80 countries visited the website of the contest to look at the photos!
Prestigio Technologies Ltd. has announced the results of the 2nd International Photo Contest “People. Art of Life”. During this year’s contest were received more than 850 works from authors from 33 countries of the world. People from 80 countries visited the website of the contest to look at the photos!
Every year Prestigio organizes photo contests as a part of its “Art” project which purpose is to give a chance for expression to new authors of web content, 3D design, photography. This year’s subject of the photo contest was “People. The art of life.”The creators face an easy but also a complicated task – to show in their work all the variety of life. They could send works that correspond to the main subject or compete for a prize in one of the three special nominees. Three out of four works were chosen by the Prestigio team. It includes designers, managers, leaders from 20 European countries (Cyprus, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, etc.) After long discussions about 50 photos were selected. They took part in the final voting when the winners were chosen.
Grand Prix
The author of the photo which got the highest number of points wins the Grand Prix - Kirill Smirnov lives in Ukraine.
The photo with the highest number of points from the Prestigio team brings to its author one of the most 
attractive Prestigio products – portable multimedia recorder Prestigio PMR-701 capable of playing movies and TV on the go. Besides PMR-701 the winner gets also a $700 cash prize. His work will become the gem in the Prestigio photo collection.
Children. The Art of Life.
The choice of the winning photo in the special category “Children. The art of life.” was the most complicated task for the jury. In this nomination category were competing the biggest number of photos. Amongst them the works of Indian authors are very distinguishable. 10 out of the 21 nominated photos were Indian. The winner in this category was won by the work “Tribal Girl”.
The photographer Madhu Gopal Rao Rama will get as a prize leather external drive Prestigio Data Safe II and $300 in cash.
Prestigio in Art of Life.
In this special category “Prestigio in Art of Life” were competing the photos which best matched the “Prestigio style”. Among 20 photos which made it to the second tour of voting, the Prestigio team chose the photo “Vogue” by Barbee Cain.
The winner will get leather external drive Data Safe II and 300$.
User’s choice
Except the winners chosen by the Prestigio team one of the prizes goes for the work which collected the highest number of visitor’s votes. In this year’s contest most active were the visitors from Belarus and for the 1st place in this category were fighting two photos. 
With a small advantage as a winner was selected “Students in Rome” by Nataly Morozova.
She wins Portable Multimedia Player PMP-501 and $200 in cash.
The awarding of the winners will take place in July 2007 and only some months later in September another international contest for computer wallpapers. The contenders will one more time face interesting subjects and get the chance to will amazing prizes.
