ASUS Launches the ZENBOOK UX32VD Ultrabook

ASUS ZENBOOK UX32VD brings the advantages of the world's finest ultrabooks to a high value product segment. Designed to offer great portable computing to all consumers, the 13.3」 ZENBOOK UX32VD introduces new NVIDIA®GeForce® GT 620 graphics together with 3rd generation Intel® Core™ processors. It retains the luxurious design and build quality of all ZENBOOK offerings, and uses hard drive/SSD hybrid storage to accelerate system performance. Consumers also gain access to 2-second instant on resume, longer battery life, and enhanced SonicMaster audio.

ASUS addresses surging demand for ultrabooks with ZENBOOK UX32VD, serving a wider consumer range and presenting a fine-tuned balance of technology, design, and value. As previous ZENBOOKs garnered good sales and much acclaim, ASUS would like a broader demographic of consumers to enjoy the benefits of the ultrabook concept, and realizes this entails creating more affordable options.

New technological milestones reached

ZENBOOK UX32VD features a raft of new features, including several firsts. It debuts discrete NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 620M graphics with 1GB GDDR5 video memory on a 13.3」 portable PC, using NVIDIA's 「Kepler」 28nm GPU technology. As such, ZENBOOK UX32VD handles more intense multimedia demands, and can run current games in greater detail than any other ultrabook. An optional full HD 1080p IPS panel with 350 cd/m2 brightness delivers improved visuals, making it ideal for streamed HD content, and features a 178 degree wide viewing angle design that enhances movies, photos, and games. The base screen on ZENBOOK UX32VD uses 1280 x 720, offering HD performance.

Advanced power

ZENBOOK UX32VD ships with 3rd generation Intel® Core™ mobile processors, with up to Core™ i7 available. For storage, it applies a hard drive/SSD hybrid, using the 32GB SSD to expedite frequent tasks (such as the operating system). Hard drives are offered in up to 500GB.

ZENBOOK advantages at an attractive value

The new model retains the acclaimed ZENBOOK design, including an ergonomic inclined and backlit chiclet keyboard. Unique fabrication techniques produce a refined spun metal look and a compact form factor, complemented by the inclusion of 2-second instant on resume with up to two weeks of standby in S3 mode and an impressive 200-day in S4 mode. Audio by SonicMaster technology, co-developed with Bang & Olufsen ICEPower®, ensures pristine sound for multimedia and gaming, while for added convenience ZENBOOK UX32VD utilizes USB Charger+ technology for quick mobile device charging. It also offers consumers an extended 7-hour battery life, and the speed of USB 3.0 data transfers.
